Whitehead Elementary celebrated the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month with an assembly. There were performances by Mosaico Cultural. Staff members also danced the salsa. Students and staff joined together to learn the dance too.
It's National School Lunch Week and today is Lucky Tray Day at all RPS 205 K-12 schools! Look for the lucky stamp under your lunch tray to win a prize. If you have a winning tray, bring your tray to the kitchen team to claim your prize. Good luck!

Needing some new Whitehead or House spirit wear? Visit our online store with the attached QR code, or website, to order and pay for online. Orders are open from the beginning of the month until the end of the month and will take a week or so to fill. All orders will be delivered to classrooms so make sure to write the name of your child's teacher on the orders. Whitehead Elementary 5th graders took part in the Sun Hero Program today with Miss Illinois Teen USA Sophia Xia and dermatologist Dr. Amy Brodsky. Students learned about sun protection, asked questions, and each received a Sun Hero kit from L’Oréal.
